In their first match-up they showed Agents007 that memes alone do not win games. Yesterday, we saw that Tiny Pools are not big enough, at least for them. Now they share the lead in Division 2 of Heroes Lounge with Team Solid and they might have it to take it all. We sat down with Aloname of Throw Inc. prior their second match at Inside Lounge.
Division 2 Team Throw Inc. consists of Aloname, leikocyte, Drakoni, Shleppel and Rianor. How did you five find together and decide to play in Heroes Lounge?
Aloname: Well, we all just randomly met in Discord through Grubby's and Tetcher's discords and started playing together, especially TL and in the process became close friends. After Drakoni, Shleppel and I first attempt at Heroes Lounge as "The Narcissist seals" we've decided to play the lounge as the roster we play a lot of TL with.
What is the situation in your team? Who is making the calls? Who is doing the draft? Who is tilting most when things go bad?
Aloname: Shot calling is mainly Rianor on a macro level and in team fights it's usually me or Shleppel who do the shot calling. At the moment our drafts are more of a brain storm, we just all debate and come to a consensus - we're trying to get a bit more organized with it because sometimes we get weird triple melee or triple warrior comps. We tilt less the more we play together but I think Rianor is the loudest of the tilters among us and when Drakoni and I tilt we're usually the quiet types but we all have our moments of loud rage and quiet rage but in the end we just laugh it off.
What does amateur means to you? How much time are you playing throughout the week, how much of that with the whole team like Team League or Scrims?
Aloname: For us playing amateur league means trying our best and having fun doing so - not trying super hard and not making spreadsheets and insane comp planning in advance, we try to pick our best heroes and play the best we can on them. We used to play a lot together, especially TL as I mentioned before, but university and work make us sometimes too tired to play a lot - so we play when we can and feel like it. When a lounge game is close by we try to even force some games just to not be completely rusty.
You guys showed a really convincing play against Agents007 recently. What do you think was that due to? Was it only the draft or do you think you have abused their weaknesses?
Aloname: I think its a combination of knowing the maps and our heroes really well and just executing the plays - our drafts were wonky and after looking at the VOD we saw the obvious mistakes in it. We know how to play the maps and heroes we chose, and we just played to our strong sides even some other picks could've been better.
Your next game will be against Team Tiny Pool which already played during Season 1 of Heroes Lounge. Thus, there are many games to analyze. Are you going to do that, or will you just jump into the game?
Aloname: We were going to watch some games and do some target bans against Team Tiny Pool ;) Although our game is coming really soon so I don't know how much time we actually have to do that.
Is there anything which you would wish for Heroes Lounge? Any features for the website for example or organizational things?
Aloname: Mostly in the organizational part with announcing which heroes are banned from play and being a bit more clear on how the matchups work. But the lounge is a great place to hang out and a fun place to play and I wish it got more recognition, and it IS getting it with Khaldor streaming it more often.
