Community Tournament Update: Master of Maps

The next Master of Maps is Wednesday 5th of March!

Start 19:00 CET
Double Elimination bracket (Best of 1s)
Only Towers of Doom

Changes to the format:

After a small survey, and having ran the tournament once we are making small adjustments to the tournament

Starting at 19:00 CET

We are moving the start time to 19:00 CET, although this is slightly tighter for some UTC+0 based teams (and organisers) we appreciate this should fit in at least one extra map, if started promptly.

Keeping Double Elimination

Although we did review the tournament format, we will be keeping a Double Elimination for simplicity.
This does however limit the competition to a maximum of 16 teams. Play slots will be given on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Finishing Time & Finals

We appreciate finishing in a timely manner would be best, as such we will change the grand finals to be a bo1, unless the Grand Finals start before 21:30 CET.

Delay & Admin Help

In a Double Elimination there is likely to be a wait for teams who have played mainly in the upper side of the bracket. Although some of this delay is unavoidable, we do understand that having additional admin help will reduce this delay.

Future Dates

This tournament will continue to be on the first Wednesday of a month. Although there have been suggestions to run it more regularly, we want it to be accessible enough for those who wish to make time for the tournament, to make time for it. (Plus if you want weekly fun go play the Nexus Rumble!)
