Greetings, I am back again with another match report. Both Dazzling's Mile and Just the tip are just outside of the top 8 of division 7. They are now looking for in round 8 to get back into it by securing themselves a win here. The question is how far Dazzling's Mile can go to win, or will Just the tip barely get by.

Dazzling's Mile are in their second season in division 7, where last season they finished in 13th place with 5 wins total. Before this game they already have 4 victories this season, which were all in the first 4 rounds against Bananas, InPanic, ShadowSlayerZ and FAT Mobile. Now in the last 3 rounds they have lost against Stray Dogs, Ainsley's Lamb Special and Mighty Minion Army. Just the tip is also in their second season in division 7, and they finished in 17th pace last season with 3 wins. They had a bad start on the season with 3 out 4 first rounds ending with a loss, against Ainsley's Lamb Special, The Pizpirets and Heroes of the kong. Before this match, however, they are in a groove with two wins against HaukiGaming and Xzone. The other wins were a BYE! and a round 3 victory against InPanic. Interestingly the teams faced each other last season, in that match Dazzling's Mile came out with a 2-0 victory.
Game 1 on Volskaya Foundry the first two Protectors had gone over to Just the tip, but the game was still quite even. The third Protector, however went to Dazzling’s Mile, though they choose not to end with it, despite having 73 % health left on it after taking bot keep. Still a teamfight shortly after the third Protector died happened, which Dazzling’s Mile came on top of and could end the game.
On Cursed Hollow in game 2 the score in tribute was 2-2 11 minutes into the game with level 13 talents on the table for both teams. When Dazzling’s Mile had a successful boss invade on Just the tip boss and stole it got a kill and could grab their third tribute for curse for free. From there Just the tip gradually lost control of the game as they never managed to get their third tribute for a curse. Making Dazzling’s Mile win the second game and the match, making them that much closer to a playoff.
This time the MVP in my eyes was the tank player Plebbabs for Dazzling's Mile. He performed well in game 1 on ETC being heavily evolved in each kill for his team. Either by landing good Powerslides or Moshes for his team to follow up on. At the same time he did not go in too far to leave his allies open to get engaged upon as well. In game 2 he repeated the same effort by CC'ing his opponent to set up kills for his team. Though he sometimes had trouble getting out of the situation after having gone in. In addition, he made it hard for Diablo to go in as Plebbabs would often Cocoon Sonya, for the purpose of making Diablo be alone deep inside enemy lines.
As things look grim for Just the tip after a great Mosh, Gul'dan with his Horrify saves his allies.
This moment is the deciding teamfight of game 1.
Dazzling's Mile turns around a bad looking teamfight after Anduin saves Jaina so she can continue to do damage. Ultimately leading to 4 kills and the first curse of the game which they rode the whole game out on.
Today Mkillerx, IndigoPrince and Plebabs are joining me for an interview after the match.
First of all congratulations with the victory, are you guys satisfied with your gameplay in the match?
Mkillerx: Well, not having me play Jaina would help a lot. I missed so many rings and face checking bushes is also a good start.
IndigoPrince: I think some mistakes were made, but overall I had the feeling we played really well. The only thing I sometime saw was that when we were in a fight and Dehaka was still pushing. We had like one or two situations when we had to retreat, because Dehaka or we engaged to fast, or Dehaka was too late.
Plebbabs: It’s definitely us engaging too fast. The shoot call stands. I didn’t give him the 10 seconds he probably needs to get down to us. That is definitely my bad and I definitely did mess up a bit, particular in the second game with Anub’Arak I missed a lot of Burrows.
Mkillerx: Yeah, you did miss those stuns, but it didn’t really matter that much in the end luckily.
Plebbabs: Yeah, I mean at least I did some that hit well and mattered.
Mkillerx: But like if that happened in a couple games ago then that would have been a sure loss. There are some mistakes from all of us.
Plebbabs: Defintley, but to be fair it was actually interesting the fact that we kind of completely changed what roles we usually play. I think Indigo you are playing your usual role and same with Crest, but the rest of us are going of in a different roles this game.
Mkillerx: It’s more like we have a composition of players that we usually don’t play with. So, we don’t really know what people are gonna do in that position.
Plebbabs: Yes, we tried out some new things and I think it worked out somewhat decent.
IndigoPrince: Normally I would prepare some drafts, but lately as Plebbabs said we’ve been playing a lot of heroes. So, was really hard for me to get a standard draft this time But luckily Plebbabs helps me with the draft.
Tell me how the season so far has been for you and was this win important for your team?
IndigoPrince: We had two losses a week ago on Sunday. That was two games that really hurt us in the standings as well.
Plebbabs: They played it well of course, but I also think we played quite poorly those matches. Luckily, I wasn’t part of it so I was instilled for tonight. But we definitely needed that win to get back into it.
IndigoPrince: Well, our morale was a bit low after those fights. So, it’s important to have this win. And now we know again we have what it takes to win this series.
Plebbabs: It might be a bit late to win the series, but we can win games.
Did you keep in mind the result from the previous season when you won 2-0 against Just the tip?
Plebbabs: Did we?
Mkillerx: Nope.
IndigoPrince: Well sometimes we try to keep track of other peoples teams. But they change their name a lot as well.
Plebbabs: At the moment we primarily focus on our own team's performance. We don’t put in that much focus on our opponent. It may be a bit greedy or arrogant in a sense, but I think like if we can’t get our play in the right place then it doesn’t matter who we face. Cause if we are not playing as a team, we will lose.
Mkillerx: Yeah, and I also think it’s sort of like a practicality, that obviously we have limited time to practice so you want to spend that time on yourself. Otherwise, we will prepare and know everything, but haven’t actually practiced a single minute in. That obviously doesn’t work out.
Plebbabs: And we will just know how we lose.
How do you feel about the level of competition this season in your division?
Plebbabs: It’s insanely varied.
IndigoPrince: Yeah, that is exactly what I wanted to say. We’ve had some really easy games in the beginning, but well, we lost three games and those were pretty good teams. The Mighty Minion Army that we lost to the one earlier was really professional as well. So, it’s very varied the skills.
Mkillerx: Yeah, I think that is because we are obviously at the lowest division where there aren't any selections yet. So, there is very little games that hit that sweet spot where it’s really exciting. And most of the games after 10 minutes you already know you will lose or, a bit arrogant, you already know you will win the game. So, I think that kind of makes it interesting. More of a risk, but also more fatalistic in a sense that you know what’s gonna happen.
Plebbabs: Really? That’s a myth. I never had a single game where I felt like we’ve won after 10 minutes. Cause I know how bad we can sometimes play, when we get greedy.
Mkillerx: Obviously, I mean you always have to keep the possibility you might lose or make mistakes. But all things being equal you can kind of guess these people just installed the game half a year ago and just started. And for some people you know these guys are very good and you respect them, but you will still lose.
Plebbabs: Yeah, that’s definitely true, some people you can feel like they probably just started in the Lounge.
What is your team's strength and weakness?
Mkillerx: I would say our strength is that we tend to communicate a lot and we have a really good morale. So, I think that’s great. I feel weakness is discipline I suppose. But I think that’s for most of the teams in our rank. We don’t practice enough, and we don’t have enough structure and those kind of things.
Plebbabs: Yeah, I would have to somewhat agree. I mean it’s certainly a weakness is also the fact that we are not that amazing in the macro play. That is partly my fault, cause I am being asked to call the games and I am not very good at it. I have also being asked to ping a bit more so that everyone else can react a bit easier, which I’m still not very good at.
IndingiPrince: I have honestly never seen you ping, hahaha.
Plebbabs: Well, it won’t start the first the first match mate.
Tell me about your drafting do you guys put the focus on getting comfort picks or more to follow the meta picks for the maps?
Mkillerx: We’ve really experimented with that. Now like I said we don’t have like a standard draft, but in the first season we used to have and that worked really well for us then. But we try to improve our heroes to get new heroes. So, there is definitely a structure there, but not these weeks.
Plebbabs: We’ve had had this indication in the first season. Were we barely had any drafts, but early on in the season I believe we had drafts prepared. But we stopped somewhat doing it now again. Recently we have tried to branch out a bit. We had some games where it hurt us and sometimes were it’s actually been really good. So, we are trying to change mix things up a bit.
Thank you for your time, anything you would like to add before the interview ends?
Mkillerx; I know that Plebbabs has created a yell for us, and he is really enthusiastic to show it to you.
Plebbabs: No, I didn’t. I did not create it.
Mkillerx: No. No. No. I am will not do that with two persons, that’s too weak.
Plebbabs: Well, you did earlier.
Mkillerx: Yeah, but that was in private not public. Like last time we had an interview we had 4 people do the yell, then it has power and courage. But two that’s just, we are not worth the yell when we are two. It’s too great for that.
IndingoPrince: We normally use a yell at the beginning of the game to strengthen our morale.
Mkillerx: So. It’s constituted of making weird funny noises. That’s why it’s such an awesome yell.
Mkillerx: In my opinion, it also works, because it’s actually really stupid yell. But it cuts the tension out of the game, “like it’s just a game”, and then you can go and warp into focus mode after that. So for me it kind of works.
IndingoPrince: Yeah, I agree.
Plebbabs: I cry inside whenever I do it.
Mkillerx: That’s also part of the fun.
IndingoPrince: Anyway on a more serious note, thanks for doing this. Going with all the trouble and stuff.
That's all for today, many thanks to the members of Dazzling's Mile for the interview.
