After a simply incredible season 1, Heroes Lounge returns as sign ups for season 2 are now open! For those not familiar with Heroes Lounge, we are Europe's largest amateur league for Heroes of the Storm. Regardless of ability, from Bronze to GM, there's a place here to play with people at your level, competitively, and in an encouraging and fun environment.
Sign up as a team or a free agent, in which case we will place you onto a team. Each week every team receives an opponents for a best-of 3 match which you can schedule at a time that suits you. Even better, almost all of our games are cast, which means that everyone can have the true competitive experience of heroes of the storm.
At the end of the season, the top teams for each division are put up against one another in a weekend of incredible Heroes of the Storm known as the playoffs. In Season 1, we saw "Chaos in Complete Control" lose their first game of the entire season to crown "No Trick Ponies" the Season 1 crown. With season 2, we have decided to change it up to make the experience even better. If you haven't noticed already, we have a swanky new website, major credit to which must go to Epixors.
He's done a fantastic job and it is what has enabled us to make the following changes: Divisions will now contain many more teams, with matches being made between teams that were active within the last week.
This means more time playing, and less time trying to find players on an inactive team. We are going to make it easier for teams to set up matches as well. Both teams will be able to make it clear when they are able to play, and will be emailed about their upcoming matchup.
This will allow a much more efficient system for scheduling games, giving your team more time to practice. More features will be announced in the coming weeks as we approach the opening week of season 2, so stay tuned. I am extremely excited to be opening up sign ups, and hope to see you in the lounge!
