What mYinsanity has a new team? Why is mYinsanity playing in an amateur league? These were common questions in the twitch chat of the first Divison 1 matchup of Heroes Lounge Season 2 between mYinsanity and CoB Misclick. Obviously there is a need for explanation. So we sat down with the mYinsanity team and asked them some questions.
Addressing the most frequently asked question in the twitch-chat during your first game and directly pointing at the elephant in the room: „Who are you guys and what have you done to HasuObs, Blumbi, darkmok, splendor and Nurok?“ :)
We ate them! Just kidding. :D We were listed as an academy team for mYinsanity before the boys left. mYinsanity did not drop them, it was their choice to join Misfit. After that there was no need for the “academy” anymore. So we are the one and only mYi team now.
How did you five come together playing Heroes of the Storm?
At first (since June) we were 5 girls playing together. 3 of them played a lots of League of Legends together before. The other 2 were “casted”. After Gamescom in August two of the girls decided to leave the team. In September snowholmes joined us and finally in November our latest addition Nera joined.
Since you already played your first match in HeroesLounge and Nera already casted even some of the games, I would like to know what you think about this League? How did you hear about it? Comparing you to the other teams, how far do you think you can go?
We believe we heard about Heroes Lounge in Khaldors live stream first. Later on, Heroes Lounge was also mentioned among reddit posts and so we decided to give it a try in the end.
We don’t expect anywhere to go to be honest. We don’t know much about all the other teams that are participating but if we were asked to give a minimum goal that we want to achieve, We guess the play-offs would be a neat goal.
Is there anything you wish what we could do better in the League? A feature you miss for example?
There’s not much to mention here. One thing we would like to see though are the VODs linked to your main website, next to the results of the matches (so the teams can actually rewatch the matches easier).
How are you going to prepare for a match? For instance, did you analyze your last opponents and their drafts or did you just jump into the match?
I think everyone tries to analyze the opponent before matches. So early in the season it is not that easy to get information. For instance, we used hotslogs to spy some information off our opponents, besides that we haven’t done much research on this matter. We of course analyze our own replays from our matches (e.g. scrims, leagues, TL). For the future, we expect to analyze the replays of our opponents as well (:
Despite Khaldor has casted already some of the playoff matches last season, I think it was you who made it possible to have him cast the first game of Season 2. Just recently Khaldor joined the mYinsanity streaming network. Is he close to you and the other members of mYinsanity?
We met Khaldor once at gamescom 2016 and so we kinda know each other. Besides that we do not share much contact with him and we were lucky and grateful that he took over casting our first game.
You are playing on a amateur level right now. Are there any plans of you to get further, maybe participating in the HGC Open League?
You never know :D
You guys are also streaming and not only Heroes of the Storm. Is gaming for you a full-time commitment and if not would you wish to make it to one?
We of course love gaming but we do not take gaming as a full-time job and we do not want to have it this way. We all have our little real-life that we value and so we commit our time into university/work like any other person out there.
Any shoutouts or advertisement you want to share?
