Division 3 is a cauldron, with only about 60 weighted MMR separating the fourth seed team and the nineteenth. Division 3 hosts many veteran teams in Lounge, with a throng of teams promoted from division 4. It is however, the newcomers who are the ones who might surprise everyone this season. Here are 5 teams to look out for in division 3.
Team Why No Follow are absolute favourites to win the division; after being demoted by a virtue of losing a tie-breaker against Throw Inc (who by their standards had a very poor season). TNF have a major preference for Towers of Doom and a wide hero pool, boasts an impressive 9 man roster. It is however Master players Zawek (support) and Warfall (assassin) the team will turn to for a swift return back to division 2.
Newcomers Random Generator will be snipping at TNF's heels; with Arkatrasz and team looking to catch TNF out on a bad day. The team as a whole has found far more success in organised play and look for impressive rotations whilst Akatrasz sets her team up for victory by trouncing the off-lane.
Look for teams to try and control Hungarian Master player Arkatrasz and her Malthael. Studious teams will look forward to banning Malthael and Valla from Team RG as they look to try and choke Arkatrasz off her comfort picks.
Health Angels boast superstars of their own in Masters player Leonidas and Omycrome his trusty sidekick. Health Angels are neck to neck in power levels against Random Generator but boast a larger roster with a more impressive 'top 5' lineup. Captain Zerstoiber can hold his own on the off-lane, as do flex players Ralf and ElDoctore. If Health Angels plays with their top 5, they will be an unstoppable force in this division.
Look for high priority towards Greymane and Kael'thas, and flex player Leonidas can pull off the occasional D.Va if the situation presents itself.
Re-branded team Fid Or Meed (formerly Team Baguette) got sadly left behind in the division 3 mass promotion as they narrowly missed out on the playoffs last season. Having retired former captain Peakstyle, Master players Nintales and Magikarp from active duty, FOM have a more balanced roster this season lacking any true superstar.
FOM have a strong preference for maps that encourage team fights like Braxis Holdout and Battlefield of Eternity often picked up in first rotation having picked both maps 3 times. Teams will be looking towards limiting Rehgar (9 games) and hyper-carry Valla compositions which is had been a prominent feature in season 4.
Look for more Shield of the Storm plays from Fid or Meed as they continue to forgo macro play for constant brawling.
Newcomers Avada Kadabra might have made the list along with Fid or Meed but very little separates them from 14 other contenders. Avada Kadabra however have captain Mantis to call upon when the rolling gets rough. Do not underestimate dynamic side kick in COolesauu and Elronmcpwn as the trio of assassins will look to frag their way to victory.
Look for high priority towards Gul'dan, Li-Ming, Valla, along with bruisers Sonya and Illidan; this is a team capable of turning on the tap when given an inch.
