Fellow Sloths and Slothiness,
my staff and I worked hard in the last couple of days to get rid of major bugs on the website and add more features to it while season start is upon us. You may already have noticed a couple ones due to the fact that we are soft launching features without announcing them beforehand.
As promised in my recent blog post, I'd like to use the opportunity which the new website provides to give you more insights about our development process and which new features you can enjoy (or not even notice ;)).
Discord
We noticed that due to a miscommunication, the signups were launched without us actually checking for the new people being on our discord. This led to an overwhelming amount of 262 users not currently being on our discord.It'll be an ongoing task for the organisation team to take care of asking everyone on that list to join our discord as communication is key for our community. If you happen to be one of these users, please join our discord by clicking here in advance :)
New registrations will from now on be rejected if you happen to not be found on our discord!
Furthermore we added a lot of tiny stuff, like redirects after signin or interacting with the forgot password page. We notice on a nigh daily basis, that new users to heroeslounge are not that familiar with our website - so if you have any suggestions on how to improve the visibility of certain elements or just how to make it easier to navigate/find important stuff please don't hesitate to write in #website_support or mail to contact@heroeslounge.gg
Season Participation
One feature which you for sure did check out is our participation for Season 4!
Teams alongside Free Agents are now able to jump on the hype train for season 4 by updating their participation for their team and themselves respectively.
Captains will find the participation settings via Team Management -> Manage [Team Name] -> Tab General
Whereas Free Agents will find their participation settings via Profile -> Account -> Tab Game
You'll be able to catch a glimpse of all the teams and free agents here - if you happen to need more members for your roster or want to form a team yourselves with free agents, don't hesitate to contact them directly!
Notifications
Furthermore we do have one more bigger feature for you already online!
We just launched the very first version of our notification component.
It will prompt you with important messages for you (if any) on sign in.
You will be able to view these notifications (if any) either via Team Management -> Manage [Team Name] -> Tab Notifications or Profile -> Account -> Tab Notifications in case they disappeared too fast for you to read them all. Speaking of which, we increased the time which these messages will display for by an additional second, since we noticed quite a bunch of users having problems to read them all in the given time.

Outlook
I want to end with giving you an outlook to features we are currently working on and expect to go live with the season start:
- Applications will send E-Mails to Captains/Free Agents
- Heroes Lounge API capabilities
- HotsLogs Data on player & team profiles
- In-depth season page, with recent results, results per round & upcoming matches split by division
- A new and shiny calendar where you'll be able to see at a glance whether or not you are casted, who will cast it and on which channel
And hopefully at the end of the season...we will even be able to host the playoff brackets as well as predictions on our very own site!
