Currently, we are in the last week of Heroes Lounge Season 3. The Playoffs get closer and closer and the last delayed matches of Round 9 have yet to be played. In a part of the Divisions, the top teams already qualified for the playoffs spots. In others, the last matches will determine if we are going to need tiebreakers or not. In order to keep you uptodate and inform you about matches you definitely should be going to watch, we have for you here a little heads-up.

Division 4 & 5

After nine weeks of regular play, we have uncontested winners of Division 4 as well as of Division 5. Dropkick Murphys managed to not drop a single map during the last 9 weeks and qualified unbeaten for the playoff spot for division 5. We can see a similar picture for division 4. We are not prepared, also unbeaten, managed to secure the top spot with only dropping one map in round 3 to Team Arsem! who went inactive shortly after.

Both teams showed that they are clearly above all other teams in their respective divisions and now they can use the Heroes Lounge Season 3 Playoffs to show all of us how good they are in comparison to the top teams of Heroes Lounge.

Division 3

Division 3 was one of the closest divisions throughout season 3 of Heroes Lounge. We saw wins of unfavoured and losses of favoured teams in almost every week of league play. Ley Lined Seals won against RPV, Trust Issues took down Ley Lined Seals and lost against RPV. Team Plasma stomped CoB Saltshakers, Saltshakers won against 30 Seconds to Mosh who managed to take down Team Plasma. In the end, we have one team above all: Trust Issues who only dropped one series during Heroes Lounge Season 3.

Division 3 has two playoffs spots to give and up to this point it is not clear who is going to secure the second spot. With RPV, 30 Seconds to Mosh, Ley Lined Seals, and Team Solid we have four teams who possibly can make it. Fortunately, tomorrow – the 1st of June – we have two matchups between those four teams. RPV will face 30 Seconds to Mosh and Team Solid will go up against Ley Lined Seals.

Since most of these four teams have played against each other before after thursday, the direct comparison will decide which of the teams winning tomorrow will make it to the Heroes Lounge Season 3 Playoffs so that probably no tiebreaker matches will be needed for Division 3 unless ... both, Team Solid and 30 Seconds to Mosh, win their games. Somehow they gamed the matchmaking so they did not to play against each other yet. This should be enough reason to tune in our twitch channel tomorrow at 20:00 CEST when those two matches will be played.

Division 2

On May 30th, Estoril eSports managed to decide the BO3-series between them and Throw Inc. in their favour. With that victory, Estoril eSports denies Throw Inc. the chance of playing in the Heroes Lounge Season 3 Playoffs. This is already a big upset since Throw Inc. were the most surprising team of Heroes Lounge Season 2 Playoffs, taking down several Division 1 teams and achieving the fourth place back then.

Division 1

Do you remember Division 1 standings throughout Heroes Lounge Season 2? Back then we had several undefeated teams at the top of the divisions until the seventh or eighth week of play and with that no indications for the outcome of possible matchups between the top teams. This season we changed the matchmaking and it generated us thrilling and exciting matchups over the course of Heroes Lounge Season 3. By now, already five teams are qualified for the playoffs: With Team TFT, last season's championsFAT#5, and Gorge Good Ult there are three teams Heroes Lounge viewers should recognize already from the Heroes Lounge Season 2 playoffs. However, Team  and Kendric Swissh’s The Swissh Family, who joined for Season 3 of Heroes Lounge, are surely scary teams which are going to put on a good show as well.

Since Division 1 teams are fighting over in total eight spots for the Heroes Lounge Season 3 Playoffs, we definitely need to take a look at the middle region of the rankings.

While the first five spots in Division 1 are save, ranks six to eight are still not determined. After nine matches, Season 1 winner Ponies With No Tricks, FalstadStillBugged, and the new team TaruoPARTY are standing at five wins and four losses. With that they have to wait for the outcome of the remaining matches of Division 1 and possible tiebreakers before they know if they are qualified for the Heroes Lounge Season 3 playoffs or not.

The reasons for this are four teams on rank 9 to 13 with a standing of 4 wins and 4 losses: Throw the Advantage, CoopEra Gaming, Dionysus, and Always Wu. Tomorrow – Thursday the 1st of June – CoopEra Gaming will go up against Dionysus. The match between Always Wu and Throw the Advantage is scheduled *at the moment for Sunday 16:00 CEST*. Since the outcome of this match will probably decide if we need tiebreakers or not, we asked the teams if they possibly can schedule their match earlier (Update: The match is now scheduled for today - 31st of May - at 20:30 CEST). Otherwise, we would need to see multiple tiebreaker matches in order to decide who will get the last three remaining playoff spots. You can see, things are getting exciting. So stay tuned and look out for the casts of these matches in the next days! Please keep in mind, the changes to the schedule of the Heroes Lounge Season 3 Playoffs.
